James Patterson does it again as a Master storyteller as he did in his other Middle School stories, making this one as good as 'The Worst Years Of My Life.' I find this story to be a golden winner of the series, simply because I was able to relate to events that took place, while having flashbacks of coping mechanisms and survival techniques. Of course most of us could relate to the funny, and not so funny activities that took place in middle school, and we never forget after the years have passed. But, I also related to the situations and feelings that Jamie Grimm experienced, because I've seen a great deal, and also have a special needs child. The authors clearly brought us all back to the immature groups, the bullies, and special people that reserve a place in your heart for a long time. Jamie had dreams like many, and he followed them, deserving respect and recognition of being a hero in many ways. He builds a brick wall to keep out the evil that spreads like wildfire from the bullies as he sets out on a mission to fulfill his dream. This intriguing story tugs at the heart as we learn that Jamie has a haunting past that he must deal with in order to move on. He is the average kid, who becomes unforgettable as he learns that there's a place for everyone in this world. This amazing story is a trip down memory lane for some, and a lesson learned for the new kid on the block as we take a good look at bullies, geeks, and the dreamers. Middle school kids will love this book. Brilliant, thought-provoking, funny, and touching. To sum it up, superb in every way!An enjoyable and educational read, with dynamic artwork. Highly recommended!

It was a decent book. No complaints. Well, maybe one. the jokes for fine. One or a two I did not get. Well, since this is a book review let's start.It is about a middle schooler named Jamie grim. He never says anything really about his past, and in a book review it spoiled the ending, but I wanted to see it first hand so I got the book. His step brother is an utter jerk. So if you don't like things like that then maybe you should not get this book.My favorite part is the end though.I am not going to be that one review that spoiled the end, so go to a another review if you want that... Or get the book!😏

My son, a fourth grader, and I read this book together each night before bed. We both loved it. He loved the bathroom humor - you know the farts, burps, and butt jokes that are so humorous at that age. And he also loved the serious side of the story. When Jamie tells "Cool Girl" about the horrific event that caused him to end up in a wheelchair, we both cried. When Jamie competes to be the funniest kid comic, we both laughed and cheered. I highly recommend this book. It helps children see the good and bad, the funny and tragic, while giving them a wonderful role model in the main character, Jamie.

This was my first James Patterson book. I didn't know quite what to expect, but I was in for a pleasant surprise. I read it because my fifth graders are devouring this middle school series and recommended that I read some of his books. They know that I read a lot of the books they are reading because I like to be able to discuss the books with students and I totally enjoy reading children's books for pleasure. It was an easy read and had a great message about being comfortable with yourself, no matter who you are. It had some similar themes to the widely popular book, "Wonder" by Palacio, which I also liked. This book has even engaged some of my reluctant readers. I ordered four of the titles for our classroom library.

Good for middle school aged children. It's actually very sad and not all that funny. But, it's a great story.

This is a great book. It's funny, includes a whole cast of characters, and not everything is perfect for the main character. A great story for middle school aged kids or for someone who wants a laugh. It's a great combination of funny and possible real life.

Gave the book to our grandson. At first he was not intrigued and saw nothing that applied to him. As he got into the book he started to enjoy it. He has now ordered two more books.

I read to my 8 year old son, every night, before bed. It all started with Rafe K. and the Middle School books and continued into Jamie Grimm and the I Funny series. We both love the stories and the characters and even talk about them when we're not reading! Keep them coming!

This book is hilarious! WARNING: Spoilers! I funny is about middle schooler Jamie Grimm who is in a wheelchair. My sister is also in a wheelchair, so I can relate.I would recommend this book for kids who liked diary of a wimpy kid, and big Nate. Or kids who are in 4th or 5th that really like to read.I know it is not free, but it is definitely worth it!There are 69 chapters of James Patterson magic!

This book has great examples. However they are very short and very few. It has too much fluff. For the price, I expected more. They could have made this book about 75 pages and only $10.

A useful text book to review cross examination. For litigators, it is a great book to Polish your skills.

I like this book and the insight it gives regarding the various cross-examination techniques. There are nice examples as the book walks through each section and topic illustrating their different styles and methods.

Not what I expected. Was not very useful to me.

Cross-Examination Handbook is a good book for those who does not have any trial experience. However, the contents of this book can be summarize in at least 100 pages without losing its substance.

Great coverage of the subject and a very helpful guide complete with checklists.

This is a fantastic book, written with relevant examples, and testimonies by other freelancers who have already accomplished varying degrees of success in the freelance WordPress Web Designer world. I have a pretty extensive business background thru formal education and through 15+ years of IT/management consulting for various sized companies. Coming from my background, there was nothing earth shattering revealed in the book, but I found the precise relevance of the examples to be an eye opener. I'm not ashamed to say that I took copious notes and plan to implement many of the concepts and techniques in my own business.If I were to list one thing that I think might limit the wider acceptance of the book, I think it would be that much of the tone seemed to be written from a WordPress "Developer" (someone who writes code, and fully customizes WP, including developing plugins and themes) perspective. I bring this up only in an effort to come up with something that "could" have been done differently. In fact, there are a lot of us out here who are not plugin developers, but who are building web development or website support businesses and who do not, and may never learn to write code at that level.That being said, I found the writing style to be exceptional, and the book hard to put down. The staff at iThemes (I am also a customer of their utilities and tools which I use to manage the WP websites I develop and manage) did an great job in taking the majority of the jargon out of the text so that the book reads like, well..., a primer on how to run a solid web development business, rather than a sales pitch for their products. I admire and respect that... Well done.

Loved this book. Even though it is focused on Wordpress developers, it applies to any kind of digital freelancing. I've been working as an independent UX designer since 2006 and learned a lot of great tips that I can add to my business.

We stayed at the fabulous Wickaninnish Inn and their restaurant served the most wonderful, beautifully presented food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We fell in love with the Clam and Corn Chowder so the restaurant host gave me a recipe card and I noticed the cookbook on display. I found out it was easier to order it on Amazon than ship one home - so I ordered it and had great success making the chowder. Some of the recipes are "advanced" and/or require fresh local ingredients from that area. But we have tried a couple other recipes and have many more we are going to attempt.

I love the photos and stories in the this book. I have made a couple of the recipes and they are fantastic. Looking forward to making lots more.

A very lot of material but little or no organization. No index to the animals, to the behavior, to anything.

The title is irresistible. The book itself is, well less than compelling. It is essentially a collection of interesting and sometimes fascinating miscellany about the natural world. It has a sort of gee-whiz, isn't this cool stuff? feel to it. Some of the content really is intriguing, but more seems to me to be simply filler.It's actually sort of a fun read, but I fear there's not a lot of substance here. Read it if your library has it, but save your money.

This book is full of fascinating bits of information about animals. I learned a lot and took so many notes it was ridiculous. I also liked how it was put together in short bites you could enjoy in small snatches. At times the writing itself was a little dry or the sections got repetitive (especially about the biggest, fastest animals, etc.). Maybe it would have been better to organize it somewhat differently so that similar information was split up a bit. However, it was a very fun read. If you love the amazing diversity of nature and the wonders of the animal world, you'll love this book.True rating: 4.5
