The use of iPads and video games as teaching and recreational modalities is explored as well. Several entirely new chapters are included, focusing on increasingly relevant topics for child life such as the development of one-person programs and community-based practice. Chapter 11 "One-Person Child-Life Programs" reads almost as a "how-to" guide with excellent advice for anyone seeking to start and sustain a one-person program. The book itself is great and provides everything you need to know if you are interested in a career in child life, very thorough! The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because the book is already falling apart, with pages falling out of the binding. I have had the book only 3 months and have treated it nicely, truly disappointing that it is falling apart because I was planning to use it throughout my career.
