This book is for anyone planning a wedding or helping with a family member planning a wedding. For the price – it beats buying wedding magazines hands down. The author covers every single topic related to planning a wedding so you won’t forget a thing, or miss something if you were trying to do it all on your own. This book also covers using wedding planners, what to look for, and is a great tool to use even if you decide to go with a wedding planner as there are things you won’t want to miss out on. Not only does this cover planning the entire wedding but goes over etiquette and even gives you a timeline and when to start each part of the wedding planning process. With such a complete tool, this can even help with the entrepreneur starting their own wedding planning business. I would say this is a must have for any family whether you are planning a huge wedding, or on a budget, as most of us are.
OMGosh!!! I have to start off by saying I LOVE the title....I've added the 'extra R' to the word lovely (on purpose!) for as long as I can remember so that immediately caught my eye. I loved the background story and the easy flow of the contents. Well organized and VERY comprehensive! There are links to click throughout the book that take to you awesome websites (there is also a long list of links and other resources at the end of the book) Another thing I LOVED about this book is that it stresses that it is YOUR DAY....and that whatever you want goes....the book does not try to make you conform to tradition or the current fad, and it's not trying to sell you anything! There are TONS of ideas to spark your creativity! I've already recommended it to some engaged family members! My best suggestion is that if you are even thinking of getting married, you need to buy this book NOW. There is SO MUCH information that having the time to read it cover to cover before getting started with planning will be beneficial.
I gave this planner 3 stars b.c it has good info. For someone who has not done any reasearch on planning a wedding but, for the actual “planner†part of the book it’s just one page with a few lines. It’s not enough space and b.c its a paperback book its hard to use all the space as well. I was looking for something different. I was definitely disappointed. I thought it would have actual planning worksheets like an area for guest lists, seating charts, timelines, list of vendors and etc. that you could fill in your information on.
For the woman who has been dreaming of the perfect wedding her whole life, this book is a Godsend!This informative and extremely helpful book goes over every detail of wedding planning in an easy to follow and quite organized way.I liked how the book covered all the intricate details of wedding planning, but made it a point to let the reader know it is about their individual day, and what might be important to one bride may not matter at all to another.Your favorite venue may be out of your price range, you favorite band booked for your day- this book emphasized that all things can be fixed and not to make each and every detail a reason to freak out. By staying organized, the planning becomes much, much easier.Overall this was a very good read, full of great information and tips. I feel it would be the perfect gift for a newly engaged bride to get on the right path with her wedding planning from the start.I received this book for free in exchange for my honest & unbiased review.
Wonderful guide to planning a wedding. I wish I had this book when I was getting married. It would have taken so much of the stress of having everything covered away! Every aspect of planning a wedding is covered. I love the photographs and I kind of wish there were more, but I know that's not the point of the book. In addition to being a great guide, it can also become something of a keepsake, as you can write notes at the end of each chapter. I plan on giving any engaged friends this book as soon as they announce their engagements!I received a free copy of the paperback in exchange for my unbiased review.
This is a very great guide to planning a wedding!! It had tips from real couples regarding the planning process and the wedding itself that gave a little insight to what aspects are more important. I especially liked how they had real budgets to compare mine to. It was also really nice that this book had places to write down your thoughts or worksheets that helped to guide you through the wedding planning process. While I thought this book had very great content, the pictures were my favorite part. Not only was this book very creative and caught (and kept) my attention but it had great photos that gave me ideas on some pictures I would like to have taken of my wedding.
My fiancé jokingly says that this book, the Loverly Wedding Planner, may have been written as a “wedding planning guide for the guyâ€. When we got this book, I was actually excited because it provided some insight into aspects of wedding planning that had never once crossed my mind. I don’t naturally have a mind for minutia so the to-do lists contained in the book were something I found quite useful. In summary, though my fiancé hasn’t looked at the book since, I would recommend it to any potential grooms who are as clueless to wedding planning as I was.

Every chapter has a check list and room to write in your own plans as it sums up what you just read about. With a lot of great pictures and a suggested to do list in every chapter, this book is perfect for anyone planning a wedding. This would make a really great gift for a newly engaged couple as they start to plan their perfect wedding day!I received this book free for my honest review, all opinions are my own.
