This study manual has a lot of information. I have used other study manuals for the TEAS and never seen the single subject manual. You are able to hone individual areas of the TEAS test that you may be struggling with. I feel like there is a lot more contact about the science section compared to an all in one TEAS book. Certain sections like A&P, can definitely be used for a quick reference once your in nursing school. The information is clear making some more difficult information easy to understand and follow The test strategies in the front can help with test anxiety. Located at the end of the book are two practice tests. There are 106 practice questions focused on science, and when studying for a test the more exposure to questions the better. Traditional manuals may have the same number questions, but it's a mixed test of all four subjects being tested. Each answer key gives the answer and then explains why the answer is correct in detail. Overall, this book is great for anyone struggling with the science section of the ATI TEAS test.
Like the other study guides by Test Prep Books, this one meets expectations. The TEAS test is competitive and this book gives a comprehensive overview of what to expect. It actually goes more in depth in the science subject than I expected, which is good. You have testing tips, for those who have testing anxiety or are simple "bad test takers", subject material, and practice test. All this is essential, but I think the greatest benefit is the thorough explainations of the answers so you know why the answer is what it is. I definitely recommend this book to help yourself prepare!
This couldnt have come at a more perfect time! I just scheduled my TEAS Test and I was very nervous about the Science section. I feel after reviewing this study guide, I am much more comfortable approaching the science aspect of this test. The next time you hear from me, I will be a Nursing Student!
I really liked this book as a way to prepare for my TEAS test. There is even a free DVD offer inside. The book has sections which contain anatomy and physiology, life and physical sciences, and scientific reasoning. It also breaks off into many studies with great tests, and detailed answer explanations. I recommend this book.
